Just wanted to share the fun that I was having in the studio the other day.....
I created a triangle shaped pendant with using collage techniques and assorted colors and textured dichroic glass (on a base of clear). I love the way it turned out....the vibrant colors draw your eye around the shape.
I added a sterling plated bail with industrial adhesive for instant gratification. I will be adding this pendant to the fused glass pendants that are priced under $25.

Update on Mom Rocks Contest-Win Free Jewelry for Your Mom
The entries for the Mom Rocks Contest have been coming in. Some lucky mom will soon have over $250 of jewelry when a winner is chosen.
Let me share a little excerpt from one entry....
"Although it has been rough having to deal with so many kids and all that goes along with it, she does an amazing job and can't imagine any other way of life. I love her and admire her strength. I hope to become like her."
Is that not the greatest compliment anyone can get...that someone wants to emulate you!
Keep those entries coming in. I know I am going to have a difficult time choosing a winner but it has been amazing to read all these funny, heartbreaking and inspiring stories!
Thanks to this awesome site for moms for mentioning the Mom Rocks Contest; it is one of my favorite places on the web to check out...Susan and Janice at 5 Minutes For Mom will be tickled for you to stop by and check it out!

Fused Glass Addiction
I am a self taught lamp work glass bead maker who just experimented with a dichroic fused glass class and I am ADDICTED. I took a class from Cheryl at Art Glass Decor in Lewisville,Texas. I learned a lot in a few hours and I can't wait to incorporate the dichroic glass made by me into my jewelry designs.
Just call me the glass junky! :)

Jewelry Education -new skills to learn so little time
As a jewelry artist, I am always looking to expand my skills and knowledge for the sake of my art or as my hubbie says, your creative urges! Guilty as charged! I absolutely love dichroic glass and have been learning various techniques from a local glass artist. I have several "art jewelry" mentors that have been the curse of my bank account! I am also expanding my metal smith knowledge with more advanced fabrication and casting methods through a local guild. It is awesome to not only learn new skills but schmooze and learn about the business from my mentors. My glass ball says a new kiln is in my future which means more glass beads and art clay projects. I am drawn to many facets of jewelry making-glass (fused and lamp work),metal smithing, making chain, etc.. I am only limited by my imagination and oh although I hate to admit it, my budget! Remember, whatever art form resonates with you, take the time and invest in yourself-learn a new skill- to keep those creative juices flowing.
