Thanks to 5 Minutes for Mom for Helping Raise Awareness for Ovarian Cancer

Susan and Janice, owners of 5 Minutes for Mom, had their newest editor, Kailani mention that September is National Ovarian Cancer Awarenesss Month. Kailani was gracious enough to mention the OCRF so women can get the facts for themselves plus she also mentioned how Designing-Diva is supporting the OCRF. 25 % of the proceeds from the Love & Hope Necklace (through Dec 31, 2007) will go to the OCRF .

Lepidolite Wire Wrapped Pendants

Shana aka Mamablogger won the 5 Minutes to Mom July 4th giveaway contest that I sponsored. She wanted a jewelry design with focal point using either peridot or lepidolite. After a trip to my wholesale supplier, I found some yummy purple colored lepidolite. The pictures do not do this yummy purple colored stoned justice!

I've created two wire wrapped pendants using lepidolite. One is an oval design....


The other design is like peas in the pod "sans the pod"! :0

Personally, I'm digging the top oval design for myself. Yes, I often design pieces that I don't want to sell! :)

Custom Beaded Bracelet Jewelry

I only have one of several designs left in my beaded bracelet category. I'm in the process of designing some fabricated silver bracelets with dichroic glass accents and more chainmaille designs.

Sometimes, it takes me 2 or 3 times to get the jewelry design that I've sketched out of my head.
