This is the "wearable art necklace" that I will be entering in an upcoming art show. I created small square blue dichroic glass cabochons that I set in square bezel cups. The "v" is byzantine chainmaille with sterling silver and 14k GF jump rings. The rest of the necklace is created using a 3-2 chainmaille design....I'm almost finished...then I just need to create a clasp worthy of the design! :)
Now for the name? Anyone want to help name my piece????....just leave a comment!

My Daughter's Bracelet-Butterfly Baby Blue

As a mompreneur, I'm often juggling my business as my home studio is well at home. One of the ways, that I "entertain" both my children but especially my daughter is let them put designs together. My daughter, Brittney, loves putting beads on headpins so mom can make earrings but I just love this little bracelet that she designed with a little help from mom.
I found this really cute brass and sparkly enamel butterfly at the Houston Quilt Show (my other addiction!). She choose the swarovski crystals and aquamarine chips to finish the design and patiently put all those on the beading wire herself!! :) I helped with the clasp but didn't she do a great job! Aw yes, proud mom moment.
And speaking of MOM, it is Mother's day tomorrow, May 13Th, and the Dallas Designing-Diva is taking the day off!:) If you feel the need to shop, let me share this coupon code with you, Mom15, and you can save 15% over at the jewelry boutique or stop by and see this gorgeous sterling silver chainmaille bracelet. For all you mom's, Happy Mother's Day, and I'll catch y'all on Monday.

Custom Inspiration Jewelry

I just love the way this custom silver necklace turned out and I had to share. The believe affirmation charm* speaks volumes and the chainmaille work draws the eye to the charm. The black mother of pearl nugget is a great choice because it will go with anything and it's iridescence catches the light.
*This affirmation charm is available with over 20 sayings. Want one similiar? Get a quote on custom order jewelry here.

Silver Chainmaille Bracelet with Iolite Clasp
This is one of my favorite classic chainmaille bracelets with an iolite clasp.
The chainmaille design is known as bird cage or byzantine. It is a timeless design that has been around for hundreds of years.
Chainmaille Jewelry is extremely versatile; you can wear it everyday or when you are dressed up for a night on the town.
Creating the bracelet in sterling silver is surprisingly affordable considering there is over 250 silver jump rings in a 7" bracelet.
Want a truly luxurious gift? Order a gold design!
