Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I'm finally ready to preview part of my "jewelry you don't wear" aka desk accessory line....these blinged out fused glass letter openers. The rest of the collection will be ready this month and will kick off with 2 contests so stay tuned!

Just had to show off this really cute decorative accent plate that I took out of the kiln yesterday. It was made with 2 layers of glass; I used green opalescent glass for the top and clear for the bottom. I then slumped it over a ceramic mold and had to patiently wait for it to anneal and cool before I could peek!

Here is the fused glass plate displaying a "Cinnamon Toast" candle. My girlfriend is using it as a "ring" dish in her guest bathroom that she just renovated; the glass is a perfect match for her striped wallpaper!
I will be offering decorative fused glass plate, gifts and accents for your home over the next few months at Designing-Diva as my interest in the medium fused glass has expanded! I would love to hear your feedback or "wishlist"! :)
