Monday is always a crazy day for me because I need to play catch up from weekend orders. I'm happy to say that I got everything I needed to do and have time to spare before I need to pick up the kids from school. Woot!

Inspired by this quote today, I have created two pitches to some very competitive catalog and magazines. I have my toes and fingers crossed that I make it past the submission desk!

Part of my marketing/PR strategy is to have my jewelry collection published in a national magazine. I have pitched Rachael Ray for inclusion in the Holiday Gift Guide in her winter magazine.The deadline for submissions is July 15th so if my jewelry is to be considered I should hear back within the next month or so. Trust me if I hear back, y'all will be the first to know!;D

Since magazines have an extremely long lead time (up to 9 months), I'm sending out ~ 4-5 "jewelry press kits" every quarter but I'm doing a blitz to an 34 right now for possible inclusion for the fall/winter 2007 issues.

It's my personal business goal to get at least one confirmed national magazine inclusion within the next 6 months.

Well, I better get busy! LOL.....
