International Gem & Jewelry Show in Dallas

The date has finally arrived....the International Gem & Jewelry Show opens tomorrow at Market Hall in Dallas. Woohoo.

I'm on the hunt for more pink druzy (as shown above)...Star Struck is one of my most popular limited edition designs at only $32.95 and I have not been able to find a source of pink druzy since the last show (drat!).

The other gemstone that I want to scout out is "larimar". Larimar is only found in the Dominican Republic and is the most gorgeous aqua blue in the AAA form. I would prefer to buy this stone in person to make sure I'm getting AAA quality cabochons.

The third gemstone I am interested in is Peruvian Blue Opal....Blue Waters is another popular design.

Wish me luck on my gemstone hunt.....;)

Jewelry Review at Spork Fashion

I submitted one of my asymmetrical necklace designs to Alyse Wax over at the oh so very fashionable and stylish, Spork Fashion. I just love her clean design.

Note to designer: tell them it's an asymmetrical design. Read the review and you will understand!! =)

This design uses the expensive and rare Peruvian blue opal:

A true opal in that the stone is quartz with trapped water, Peruvian Blue Opal does not have the iridescent color play of an Australian Opal, rather Peruvian Blue Opal is prized for the extremely attractive color. This opal is also frightfully expensive and continues to increase in price at an equally frightful pace
.

This was a limited edition jewelry design that has sold out. You can contact me to create a similar custom jewelry design in 14k GF.

Check out Blue Waters, a silver necklace, at the jewelry boutique.
