Last night, our weather radio alarmed and John and I grabbed the kids and headed for the bedroom closet at ~4 am. We were under a heavy wind advisory and tornado watch as tornado activity had been spotted between Coppell and Farmers Branch.
The kids eyes were the size of saucers when they heard the words "tornado" and "Coppell" in the same sentence.
I can honestly say my heart was thumping!!! We were fortunate enough.....only very minor wind damage to some trees.
However, a co-worker of my husband snapped this picture. Major wind damage......lots of cleaning up to in N. Texas today.

Children's Miracle-Snow in N. Texas
Growing up in the north, I never really thought about all the snow and winter time activities like ice skating, sledding, igloo building.......it was just something we did to stay out of mom's hair and cleaning our rooms! :)
It cracked me up yesterday that when I picked up my kids from school; they were so excited about snow and Blake declared with such sincerity that it was a children's miracle.
On our way to school this morning, we took a detour to look at all the snow people built throughout the neighborhood.
The snow miracle may melt but the memories will live on.....
Have a great weekend!
