Glass Rock Candy collection a huge hit at Shecky's GNO in Dallas

The Glass Rock Candy Collection that I revealed to the general public was a hit at the Shecky's GNO event in Dallas on Tuesday.

Phew. It is always so nerve wracking putting so much energy into creating a collection and then having to wait on the public's reaction!

I got to share my passion for creating fused glass & metal smithed jewelry that lets your personality shine through! Plus, I got to chat with a lot of people and talk about the private trunk shows and make it (fused glass parties) that I do in the area.

So, thank you Dallas for such a warm reception!

Tomorrow, I will be in Houston for the SOLD OUT Shecky's GNO event. I am really excited as this is the first Shecky's event in the city.

It is always fun to road trip and do a new venue and meet new customers.

The collection will be available to the general public by the end of May ( if you are signed up for the Diva's newsletter you would have already had a sneak preview! ).

Oak Cliff Earth Day 2008 recap

A little windy but warm day and the Oak Cliff Earth Day was a huge success yesterday. Had the pleasure of meeting new artists and hanging out with some of the Etsy Dallas Street team:

I loved where the artists got to setup. It was very cozy and so great to be outdoors. Met lots of people in the community and got to hand out fliers and get the word out for the May 18th Etsy Dallas Beer-B-Q!

I'm bummed because my camera lost it's charge and I never got to take pics of the other Etsy Dallas team members & their products . : ( I was electronically challenged!!!

Now, I'm back to work in the jewelry studio furiously cutting, fusing and grinding glass to get the new Spring-Summer "Glass Rock Candy" collection ready for the Shecky's GNO Dallas & Houston shows. TGIF & Trunk Show Reminders

Phew. Another busy week in the jewelry studio filling retail and wholesale orders..... aka the Mother's Day rush! :)

Just a reminder of the upcoming trunk shows I have over the next month. I'm really excited about showing off my new Spring/Summer collection, "Glass Rock Candy" at Shecky's ; it will be a great way to get feedback about the direction I need to go with my collections. I will continue to do original and limited edition styles because that is where my true passion is....in the details!
