At one time, pearl jewelry were only available to royalty and wealthy individuals. With the advent of cultured pearls, pearls have become affordable for everyone. I love using freshwater pearls for a number of reasons:
- Color choices-There are several natural and color dyed options. Peacock is one of my favorite colors right now
- Shapes-I often use blister and potato pearls because I do NOT have to worry about matching them in designs. It gives the design a more organic appeal.
- Cost-Would you believe about the same as designer shaped crystals!
