This is the small fused plate experiment that I mentioned in yesterday's post. I wanted to see what would happen if I slumped two layers of glass in the small mold (3 3/8 inch square) if I did NOT prefused the stacked layers.
The bottom clear layer is visible and creates a "subtle edging" as the top plum layer slumped into the mold.
If I had prefused them , you would not see the clear glass layer that I used on the bottom.
This small decorative dish has a really nice weight to it because I used two layers.
