One of my favorite local bead shops in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex is
Auntie's Beads. It is located in Grapevine On Main Street which is a fun place to hang out with your family and friends. ;) There are lots of little shops and a few places to eat.

The reason I like Auntie's so much is that their prices are reasonable and when I'm in a pinch and only need one to two of a bead I can still make my designs and earn a living.

Plus, they often get limited selections of some fun and unusual beads whether it be in porcelain, cat's eye or glass.

If you are a beginner beading enthusiast, they also offer classes. Plus, as you walk around the store, you will see many designs that will inspire you! ;)

Jewelry Design Idea Submitted to Bead Unique Magazine

Keep your fingers crossed.....I finally got out of my comfort zone and submitted a jewelry design idea for the Summer 2008 issue of Bead Unique Magazine.

The submission guidelines did not say if a response would be given ....

I am now on a mission to find other beading/jewelry related magazines to submit design and jewelry articles to. It would be great exposure for me as a jewelry artist plus and invaluable learning experience.

Are those fingers still crossed? ;)
