Last night, our Bunco group gathered for the last Bunco of the year and our annual gift/steal exchange. I received a beautiful burgundy/gold angel ornament for our Christmas tree and a brass angel trivet. Who doesn't need a few more angels watching over their family? ;)
The host, the illustrous Mrs C, served a drink called Poinsettia; your guests will love the way the cranberries float up and down because of the bubbles in the Champagne! I think I guzzled mine very unladylike because it was sooo good---it tasted more like juice than alcohol! I did a Google search and found several variations of this drink but here is how it was served to our Bunco group:
Poinsettia Champagne
4 oz Champagne
1 oz Triple Sec
Splash of Grenadine/Cranberry Juice
Tsp of Dried Cranberries
....ENJOY!

At the end of the night, we reflected on the passing of the year and many milestones in our lives. As I was listening, I felt truly blessed and grateful to have so much friendship and love surrounding me! There was NOT a dry eye in the house and that's an AWESOME thing! Nothing like a little female bonding , tears & champagne to make a girl feel lucky!!

Randi,
Surprise! I was looking for the Poinsettia champagne cocktail recipe (it's too late to call Mrs. C) and was amazed to see that the one that sounded most like the fabulous drink we enjoyed at bunco was posted by someone at the very same party! Small world. So thanks! And I love the beautiful brown and turquoise art glass plate you brought to our exchange. And loved reading your blog. It was truly a special evening with wonderful friends. And YOU are a MOST talented designer! Christy
