2007 Texas State Fair Opens Today

The Texas State Fair Opens.....woohoo. I am so excited. The State Fair is one of my favorite annual events....who doesn't love funnel cakes and hand squeezed lemonade!Plus the fact,I have a small sampling of my fused glass jewelry and accessories in the Go Texan Store (Food & Fiber Pavillion).

This year there is a TEXAS WINE GARDEN: Fairgoers can explore the world of wine in an attractive courtyard setting. Wine experts will conduct Wine 101 classes, and Texas vintners will be available to answer questions during scheduled tastings throughout the run of the Fair. Check out all the entertainment here...

My family is planning on attending in the evening so we can catch the nightly parade that happens at 7:15 PM. The kids have a fall break next weekend and were issued a free ticket which they have posted on the fridge so mom and dad DON'T FORGET to take them! ;)
